Job description
- Coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner
- Processing purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers
- Working with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability
- Performing cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities
- Monitoring the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate the highest quality at best value
- Developing new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive
- Recommending cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing
- Interacting closely with suppliers and Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues
- Supporting internal and external audits related to procurement processes and supplier management
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
- Fresh graduate to less than 2 years’ experience with purchasing, procurement, contract management or relevant experiences
- Expertise in procurement methodologies and processes as well as negotiation tactics
- Competency in computer applications, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Good knowledge of business, finance and supply chain concept
